Friday Featured Artist:  Yotam Perel

How are you today person that I most probably do not know? 

Really? 

Hmmm. 

Yes. 

Ok.  That’s enough about you.  Well, me… I’m feeling quite disparaged with life.  No, no.  No sympathy please.  The one ounce of comfort I take, like so many other disappointed humanists, is from the smatterings of dark humour to be found here and there.  One fine example is Israeli flash animator Yotam Perel.

Although his animation perhaps isn’t as technically accomplished as some of his peers, Yotam’s dark humour and at time bizarre stories cannot help you laugh… then perhaps cry a bit inside.  Whether it be a song to celebrate his 18th birthday… and to commiserate about Israel’s army recruitment policy, the seedy underbelly of hentai flash games or his animated versions of people’s blog entries (be sure to turn on subtitles… unless you speak Hebrew already).  Interested in more?  Check out his youtube channel here.
