Spin Dry Magazine Launch Tomorrow at sandbar“To celebrate the launch of Issue 1 of Spin Dry’s magazine comic, we are to be throwing a little shindig at Sandbar on Tuesday 24th of July. The event forms part of the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival, is FREE to attend and is open to anyone.
Spin Dry, Issue 1 is a mix of commentary on the news and satirical cartoons and is a culmination of work from individuals who have either been inspired by or involved in our project ‘Spin Dry vs Leveson’.
This project has been in effect since late last year and has formed part of the Youth in Action program (organised by The European Commission and the British Council). During the project, we have been mentored and supported by the charity; NOISE.
The main launch event will take place from 7-11pm, however we will be proceeding this with an open discussion with ourselves about the project between 4-6pm.
During the main launch, FREE copies of Issue 1 will be made available, as well as a special 10% discount at the bar for attendees.
A lot of work has gone into this project and it really shows that people out there really care about the quality and integrity of the media. We’d like to thank all of those who got involved with the project, attended the workshops and contributed to Issue 1.”- Johno Johnson, Spin Dry Managing EditorCheck out Spin Dry’s website for more information about the project!
