Live Musics In Your Earbox, At Sandbar Throughout September!
The summer is over, the hum of the student mobs approaching echos in the streets, and in several days buses holding smiling, Corona wielding promo plebs will be hammering the streets with club music from 10 years ago.
BUT DO NOT DESPAIR my dear, dear strangers. For with September the rest of Manchester fully comes back to life. Artists crawl out their bohemian holes, publican houses and strange bars breathe a sight of relief upon surviving the lull of summer and musicians cease to pick strange matter from their navels to write a song about it.
So what, I hear you not ask, is going on at sandbar? Well, as we march back into life again we welcome the Autumn months back with large smattering of musical antics.
Every Wednesday you will find Busking Ballads within our walls with blues and folk along with the occasional brave open mic peep.
We have the return of Bexley Square Blues Night headed by Mr. Later Slater this Saturday along with Brewed In Britain the following Tuesday hosted by The Manchester Label bring with them an accompaniment some of the best unsigned bands.
And last, but not least we have our new event On The Flags, a regular irregular event where a musician is welcomed into sandbar’s arms and showcased in the main bar area. And what’s this - the FIRST ONE IS TONIGHT with the talented and renown Mr. Zacc Rogers, followed next week by the Freedom Principle Trio the following Thursday to celebrate their return.
Phew… that is allot of stuff.
